The Nhu produces popular natural history programs including “ Blue Planet II,” “ Planet Earth II,” “Seven Worlds,” “One Planet,” presented by David Attenborough, “Dynasties,” “Blue Planet Live” and “Springwatch” In places where the Nhu is filming, the initiative will fund opportunities for locally based production talent to access in-country training, offer field experience working with Nhu teams on location, and invest in local talent to attend U.K.-based training courses. He also previously exec produced a ten-part wildlife series for Apple as well as Eden: Untamed Planet for BBC and AMC Networks.īBC Studios Natural History Unit (Nhu) will invest £1 million (1.08 million) over three years to develop and support aspiring natural history filmmakers in the U.K. Before that, he spent 28 years at the BBC, where he worked on series including Blue Planet II and Frozen Planet II. He has overseen Incredible Animal Journeys since joining the ITV-owned company. Browlow will continue to report to Plimsoll’s Chief Creative Officer of Natural History and Science Martha Holmes. He replaces Tom Hugh-Jones, who previously held that role, and leaves after seven years. Brownlow, who joined the company earlier this year as Executive Producer, becomes Creative Director, Natural History.
